Great video! The people that write the comments of being so amazed or so super impressed about getting the ole .270 to reach out and deliver at that range, obviously have never been around the .270! I purchased my new Ruger M77 .270 back in 1981 and it’s one of my guns that I’ll never part with! I’ve used it for Mule a white tail deer, elk and made loads for Prairie dogs! Also target! I did built a one off target, tackle style stock to my exact dimensions, and I settled on a 6x20x60 illuminated reticle scope it’s setup perfectly for me so yeah never underestimate the ‘old’ .270 win!!

I came to the same conclusion as you. I want equal forces up and down. Just out to the side. The first brake I built was a three port brake like the first one you showed. I drilled two 1/8" ports in the top angling up @ 20°, even with the front wall. After watching your slow mo comparison, I think I'm going to tap the holes and plug them to see if I notice a difference. I do get some bounce.

He called firearms owners criminals and whiners. He didn’t answer any of my questions. Disgusting. What illegal activities can you do with 10 guns that you can’t do with 5?

Hi Mark. Thanks for the video. I agree with you 100%. Not enough people have bothered to make their voices heard. I made an appointment with my local MP last year about the reforms and was told that only a handful of people had come into his office to protest about it. I really hope that people can get proactive enough to stop this garbage going through in its current form. I personally think that the new regulations will be so difficult to manage that it will need to be sidelined - a bit like what happened with the poorly thought out Cultural Heritage Laws. WAPOL could barely manage the existing system so I’ve got no idea how they’ll manage everything that Papalia is trying to fist them with.

I’ve half a dozen ackley improved from 17/222 tight neck to 243 improved tight neck. Only way to fly in my book. I use the aluminum single shot adapter for my 700 Remington actions. Carry 3 shells on the scope. Not very often need a 2 nd shot unless 2 or more coyotes come in. My 17 is my favourite: deadly out past 400 with 30 hpbt . When I take them to the range: excellent results are shown…. My guns were built mid 70’s - early 80’s. leupold scopes, Macmillan stocks, jewel triggers and custom barrels. Anybody thinking of going over to ackley improved gun build: never look back!

This effects everyone not just Firearms owners, The Constitution States that the people of the Commonwealth are sovereign & supreme & are the ultimate power. The so called parliaments have no authority to make any laws statutes legislation that is not granted to them under the Constitution. How many times does the High Court of Australia have to call out the States on this and yet the people just sit back and let the States do what they want without saying hang on you have no power to make laws about this? The States have with the help of the (so called) Commonwealth have returned back into Colonies thinking they can do what they want whilst both sides bribe each other to get what they want knowing that neither are Constitutional & if Australians find out the truth that will be their downfall.

I got 99% of problem solved by attaching a heavy duty cotton swab to my power drill and adding FLITZ to the swab. I then spun it around for a minute or so in the die seating stem. I will repeat this again to see about getting the 1% out. I also ordered another brand seating stem to see if that makes a difference. If that doesn't work, I will make a cast of the bullet profile in the seating stem using JBWeld like stevewhite suggested below.

I dont know enough about guns, but even i know that this distance is crazy, plus while you arent any ordinary sniper, that distance is usually deemed as too far for most snipers. There are all kinds of amazing going into this.
